really bad habits
i like to click a lot.  and quickly.  without reading.  or thinking.  ive deleted jessica's diner dash game on her ds.  "given up" on dokapon kingdom instead of attacking like i wanted.  deleted my ffviii save file after putting 30 hours into it.  sent numerous blank texts.  spammed haena's graffiti wall with the same drawing that wasnt even completed ^^'  yeeeup.

texts

i just finished transcribing the texts that i had been saving on my phone for years now.  i think pretty much ever since i got my phone... summer of 05?  17 pages from september 05 to august 08.  prollie more than 200 texts.  now my phone is empty.  i had saved like 15 texts from hung with him talking about him taking a crap.  i dunno... i liked when he texted me those.  my mom claims we are getting new phones in september... or actually maybe even soon.  she said "when we start school"... & my siblings start next week, so maybe we'll get new phones soon :D  good thing i finished transcribing my crap....

i heart crabs

the seafood, not the std.  i ardently love crabs.  theyre so good.  & i guess they hold good memories for me?  they remind me of the good ol' days when my mom used to cook for us.  or the little parties my parents threw with their friends.  back when i sang karaoke.  pretty much they remind me of simpler times.  nowadays, i never eat crab.  we mostly eat lobster at seafood restaurants for birthdays or christmas or something... but we never steam crabs ourselves anymore.  we used to get them from the seafood market on brookhurst x westminster.  i do not even know if its still there.  but i used to get the frozen drink/gelatin that comes with the little plastic sword.

with time (as in, by growing up), my mind is much more... conscious.  conscious of the... dysfunctionality in my family.  i know: everyone's family is like that.  but we never really realize it 'til we have grown "old enough."  i wish i could go back to being a kid... no matter how deprived i was.

being ignorant.

that's where it's at.

Are you messing with me?

Because I think you are.  But it you were not... it would be weird to bring up.  So what am I to do........

I have been getting the same ghost text for the past couple of months.  I see my phone flashing... open it up to see the animated envelope which designates that a new text has been received... press 'view'... see that name, the last person I would ever expect to text me... and see that its that text.  It is even dated from 2007.  And after I view the text, it disappears from my inbox without me having to delete it.  It does not necessarily pain me to see it... but it is associated with an unpleasant matter in my life from this past school year.  I just think it is weird... of all the texts... and why do I keep receiving it week after week?  There was a time when this turmoil had plagued my mind... and I laid awake for hours thinking about it.  But now I am completely over it.  I do not even resent the guy; I simply do not think about it.  But then the ghost text surfaces again and again.  Is he messing with me?

I was hanging out with Yen, but she was driving her sister's, Trinh, car.  Playing were string tributes to Coldplay, which I took quite a fancy to.  And a little while ago, I kept ripping the audio from a bunch of youtube vids of people playing piano tributes.  So lately I have been downloading string/piano tributes like mad... because I really do mostly dig the melodies/beats of a song... not really the lyrics.

This photo is of a candlelight vigil in Korea... because of the recent marches/protests against US beef.  I think the vigil itself is about the police brutality against the protesters, not the protest/cause itself.  But I thought this photo was really pretty because of the lights.  And to see vigilers (?) on such a large scale... it is really touching.
I don't know.  All I know is that even without knowing what this photo actually is, I know anyone will be touched by it.  Pretty much the idea of people unifying for a single cause... it is a powerful image.

You don't have to know your alphabet to recognize a G.

anyway,
Neil Gaiman (along with Crispin Glover, John Malkovich, Anjelina Jolie, etc.) was here in Westwood for the premiere of Beowulf on Monday night.  WHY WAS I NOT INFORMED OF THIS??  Le sigh... oh Neil Gaiman.  I might never have the opportunity to see this man again.

The other day the French director Francis Veber, who brought us comedies such as La Chevre and Le Placard, came to our French Cinema & Culture class.  He was really funny.  And good-looking.  Lo and behold, he is 70-year-old.

So a long time ago, Mr. Owens, for some odd reason, showed us this cartoon called Flatland in AP Chem.  It was pretty much the most awesome movie I ever saw.  Okay: I exaggerate.  But it was pretty cool.  I mean, come on, it was about shapes and dimensions... what more could you ask for?  I hope to find it again someday....  My search has only resulted with the new Flatland with voice acting from the likes of Martin Sheen & Kristen Bell (V Mars, yayuh!).  Will I ever see that beloved cartoon again...?  Well anyway, I plan to buy the book soon to read it.
